Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and MONKEY INSPO LLC. They apply when you use this website, and additionally when you create an account. Creating an account means you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

1. Who we are

2. The service

Monkey Inspo is a visual discovery platform: a curated grid of design work creators upload, editorial articles, creator profiles, a shop of things to buy, and a newsletter. You can save work, arrange it on moodboards, follow creators, and search. We curate by hand. Parts of the service may change, and features may be added or removed. We will run the service with care, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults.

3. Accounts

You sign in with an email link. There are no passwords. You must be at least 16 years old, provide an email address you control, and keep it current. Your handle is your profile address; you can change it in Settings, and your old address forwards for 30 days before it goes back into the pool. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under your account; if you think someone else has access to your email, stop using the account and contact us.

4. Your work stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you upload. We do not take ownership of your work. When you upload, you grant us permission, in plain language at the moment you upload, to display the work on Monkey Inspo, make the technical copies needed to serve it (thumbnails, previews, cached versions), and show it in our newsletter and social previews with credit to you.

If you want your work taken down, we take it down right away and we don’t argue about it. Ask from your account or by email. Removal ends the display permission; we keep what §10 and our privacy policy say we keep, and technical backups that expire on their own schedule. If you take a piece down, it comes off the site right away; we keep the original in private storage in case of a dispute. If you delete your account, everything you uploaded is deleted, the original included. What we keep after that is listed in our privacy policy.

By uploading, you confirm the work is yours to share: your own work, or work you have permission to post.

5. Acceptable use

• No work that is not yours to post.
• No explicit, hateful, or unlawful content. It is removed, not filtered.
• No impersonation of people, studios, or Monkey Inspo itself.
• No spam, scraping at scale, buying or selling accounts, or gaming curation, tags, or rankings.
• No interfering with the service’s security or operation.

We may remove content, hold new uploads for review, or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable we will tell you what happened and why.

What that looks like from outside. While work is taken down, or the account that owns it is suspended or banned, that work is off the public site: its page says not found, it is gone from the grid, from search, from profiles and from moodboards, and a Monkey Pick badge you have embedded elsewhere stops loading. The work itself is not deleted. Nothing about this is a Pick being taken back (see §6), and everything comes back if the piece or the account does.

6. Monkey Picks

A Monkey Pick is an editorial award decided by people. Money does not buy one. Paid options, where offered, buy a faster review, not the outcome. We don’t take a Pick back. The one exception is fraud, and the reason is recorded. A crown obtained by deception, plagiarism or a bought award, counts as fraud.

A crown can stop being visible without being taken back. If a picked work comes down, at your request or ours, or the account that owns it is suspended or banned, the piece leaves the public site for as long as that lasts and its badge stops loading. The award is untouched and comes back with the piece. If you delete your account, your work is deleted with it, crowned work included: your right to leave outranks the crown, and that is you withdrawing it rather than us taking it back. The address a piece used is not given to anyone else.

If Monkey Inspo is ever discontinued, the pages and badges that display Picks may stop resolving. An award that was made is a fact we do not retract, and we will try to give notice and export options before shutting down.

7. Our content

Articles, curation, design, and the Monkey Inspo name and marks are ours or our licensors’. You may share links and use the sharing features; you may not republish our editorial content wholesale or use our marks without permission. Credited third-party work in articles belongs to its creators.

8. Links, selling, and paid placement

Articles may contain affiliate links, always with a visible disclosure near them: a line above the article, and the words “paid link” beside each one. We may earn a commission when you buy through one; that does not change what we choose to feature. Shop listings link out to a retailer or to a creator’s own store. Your purchase is with them, on their terms, and the service is provided “as is” in respect of anything you reach through an outbound link. The full picture is on our affiliate disclosure page.

If you sell here. Monkey Pro members can list their own products in the shop. A person on the team reads every listing before it goes up and can decline it or take it off the shelf. The buy link goes to your own store: the sale is yours, and we do not take a share of it. What you list has to be yours to sell and has to match what the page says it is, and §5 applies to a listing the same way it applies to a piece.

Paid placement is separate, and it is always labeled. A listing whose seller pushed it up the shop says Promoted; an advertiser’s placement says Sponsored or Advertisement. Everything else on the site is organic. Paid placement buys position. It does not buy a Monkey Pick, an article, or a word of what an editor writes. Boosts run on an allowance we grant, they are reviewed by a person before they run, and one ends when the listing behind it leaves the shelf.

9. Copyright complaints

If you believe work on Monkey Inspo infringes your copyright, email hello@monkeyinspo.com with the work, where it appears, and how to reach you. We respond quickly. The takedown promise in §4 is how we operate for creators’ own requests, and copyright complaints get the same speed.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Monkey Inspo at any time. You can delete your account yourself, from Settings under Danger zone, or ask us to do it. Deleting is permanent: your account and everything you posted go with it, your work comes off the site and its old addresses stop answering, and we keep only what §4 and our privacy policy say we keep. We can suspend or close accounts that break §5, and we may close the service itself (§6 covers what happens to Picks). Sections that by their nature outlast the agreement, like ownership, disclaimers, and liability, survive it.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MONKEY INSPO LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we will update the version above and, for meaningful changes, ask account holders to accept the new version the next time they sign in. Continuing to use your account after that is acceptance of the new version.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes belong to the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here removes consumer rights that your local law grants you and that cannot be waived.
