Some links on Monkey Inspo are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. It costs you nothing: the price is the same as it would be if you had gone there yourself.

Where these links appear

Three places, and all three say so on the page. Inside an article, a link that earns us a commission is marked, and a line above the article tells you before you click. On a product card in an article, the marker sits beside the button. On a product page in the shop, it sits beside the button too.

We mark every outbound buy link the same way, including the ones that earn us nothing. When a listing goes to a creator’s own store, the sale is theirs and we take no part of it; we would rather over-mark than ask you to tell which is which.

Everything an editor chooses is organic. A Monkey Pick is not for sale, and nothing an editor chooses is influenced by whether it earns. Paid placement is a separate thing and it looks different: an advertiser’s placement says Sponsored or Advertisement, and a listing whose seller paid to push it up the shop says Promoted.

What we recommend, and why

We link to things because somebody here uses them or the article is about them. A commission does not change which products appear or the order they appear in. Where we have not used something, we say so rather than implying otherwise.

Prices and availability come from the retailer and change without us knowing. Where a price is shown it is the one we last saw, not a quote. For anything on Amazon we show no price at all, because the price worth trusting is the one Amazon shows you when you get there.

Cookies and tracking

Following an affiliate link sets a cookie on the retailer’s side so they can tell the visit came from us. That is their cookie, not ours, and it is covered by their policy. What we collect is in our privacy policy, which also explains how to opt out.

On our side, when you follow a product link we count the click so we know which recommendations are useful. We don’t record who clicked.
